Some small Diettogo reviews

I stole my DH's diettogo dinner tonight.  LOL  He isn't fond of vegetable ravioli and it sounded great to me.  So, voila!!  It was incredible.  Very fresh, huge portion, combined with vegetables like peppers, mushrooms, zucchini and tomatoes.  It was really really good.  And, dessert was incredible chocolate mousse.  Wow!  I feel like I gained 10 pounds.  LOL

Yum.

The eDiets Saga Continues.....

DH got a shipment of food today.  Wow.  Considering he got nothing last week and if he was supposed to get a shipment, it is supposed to arrive on Saturdays, this was odd, but not surprising at this point.  His account has been cancelled but still the food comes.  So, DH rolls with it even though he is doing diettogo and says as long as it's the food we picked a while back that is fine.  Naturally it is not.  So, I have another message into eDiets.  We shall see when we get credits on our account.  So far we are out 400.00 and this is nuts.  EVERY message subject today on the eDiets deliciously yours thread was negative and they quickly were closed.  The message board police are alive and well over there, yet you still can't get through to customer service.  What a joke.  If anyone reading this is thinking of signing up for eDiets, please reconsider unless you are a glutton for punishment.  It was working great.  A company couldn't screw this up this bad unless they tried.  Seriously....

Hmm....So much to report. Good, bad and ugly...

First of all the good.  So far the PFFS meals are good.  I just had the Chipotle chicken breast with mung bean noodles, veggies and chick peas.  It was very very spicy.  Decent though.  Spicy but bland which is weird.  But a little salt and good to go.  The mung noodles were sort of fun; something different.  Not my favorite on the menu but doable.

DH had his "Diettogo" delivered today.  The box is much smaller in terms of packaging and is an actual cooler.  It is flash frozen and vacuum sealed and sent in dry ice.  The dry ice was gone by the time we opened the cooler but it sat all day inside DH's office before I picked it up and the food was cold and still frozen.  So, I guess that's ok.  MIght be a bit worrisome as the weather gets hotter.  But the food looks delicious.  It is nicely presented and the veggies look fresh and wonderful.  Lots of sandwiches though for lunch which is ok but nothing interesting, you know?
On the other hand my chicken wrap with honey dijon mustard and onions etc. was wonderful today from PFFS.  The veggie servings are much bigger on the diettogo it seems.  I will report on that and get back to you on how it all tastes.  But, the diet went well today.  I think I am getting sick so I slept in (so did the kids which is odd) and by the time I fixed them breakfast, had my diet coke, did homeschool morning work, it was too late for breakfast so I just had lunch at 11:30.  Add to it that one of our furnaces went out today and we had people in and out most of the afternoon.  So, diet-wise, today has been such a good day that I have to have enough calories for my WW icecream treat.  :)

Now, for the ugly....eDiets!  It seems that public humiliation is the only thing that gets their attention.  The BBB is following up on my complaint and I did file a complaint with the attorney general's office for fraud.  After they yelled at me via email and deleted my posts which contained nothing but truth, I was furious.  I fired back an email asking them to take some time to address customer's valid concerns instead of policing a message board blah blah blah.  Then I posted a simple question "Could the community support team get eDiets to give back the money they stole from me" and somehow, I got an email today showing my accounts canceled and promising to refund my money.  Money still hasn't been processed but at least it shows the accounts as canceled.  Maybe the bleeding has stopped.

So, that's it for now.  I love the convenience of pre-cooked food and meal plans and this has been a challenging week.  But my weight is dropping slowly and I am happy with that.

My PureFoodsFreshStart came today!

Whoo hoo.  It is like old home week.  Just like eDiets food; in fact identical packaging.  The snacks are interesting.  The brownie looks great; the fruit was well-packed and the cinnamon cookie was....well, interesting.  In fact I had to look and see the label to realize what it was.  LOL  I wish some of the good muffins from eDiets would be on this plan.  I might email them and ask.  Can't hurt, right?  But, it seems that as of Saturday I will be back in business of getting my food regularly.

I actually talked to someone at eDiets today.  Shock.  Supposedly they canceled both accounts after telling me that my food for this week never shipped.  (duh).  Said I would receive a credit within 10 business days.  I will wait for that before I have to cancel my credit card (it's a debit so it would be a pain to reissue etc.) and file a fraud affidavit.  Crossing my fingers and hoping that eDiets is getting their act back together. I would even possibly go back if they could figure things out because PFFS is 30.00 more expensive for just an extra dessert.  Seems like a lot of money for  cookie or two.  But, I know this food and can be successful with it.

Today was an easy day

Don't know why.  I mean why are some days absolutely impossible to stay on plan and others super easy?  I think being busy helps as I was swamped basically all day.  Not really time to cheat.  LOL  But even still, I had a craving for one of those Ghiradelli (sp?) chocolate mint squares that is in the bag in my basement  and I was able to walk by.  Other days I wouldn't be able to say no to 3 of them.  I have targeted my hungry time though and it is definitely from lunch to about 4PM.  So, I think the busier I stay during that time, the better.

I am not sure I got enough calories though tonight.  I had
Breakfast:  whole wheat english muffin and peanut butter
Lunch:  Grilled chicken breast and salad with lite Raspberry vinegarette
Dinner:  Lean Cuisine Panini
Snack:  Sugar free pudding
Just eyeballing it, I am guessing I had about 1070 calories.  Just not enough with dance class as I just feel hungry tonight.  I tell you it's hard without having my meal delivery.

Tomorrow I should receive the Purefoodsfreshstart 3 day sampler.  That should be fun to try out.  Definitely looking forward to that, although it will have to be enough to share with DH.  I ordered things he liked and things I liked so it will only supplement our house food for this week.

I'll report on taste, delivery etc. tomorrow.
My saga with eDiets continues.  Still no response from them either by returning phone calls or emailing a response.  Still showing that I was billed and receiving no food.  Unreal.
Trying not to get too mad and just deal with it systematically.  Bleh.

But, I am happy.  No cheating today!  Hoping the scale rewards me.  :)

Well, at least the scale is cooperating!

Weighed in today and happy to report that in 20 days I have lost about 11 pounds.  This includes a couple pounds that went up while I was in Ireland NOT dieting for sure.  LOL  But, to be down 11 from my initial weight makes me very happy and I can start to feel a difference.  This will be a tough week without my easy diet delivery foods to keep me on track, but I  can hold out for a few days.  Had a wonderful small filet last night (beef) with some mushrooms and cauliflower.  Delicious.  And I find I am full much quicker than usual.  Even had some WW ice cream too so we didn't feel cheated in any way.  The hard part of yesterday is when DH buys doughnuts for the kids and brings boxes (yes more than one box) home.  Doughnuts are my nemesis and this is really hard to have in the house.  But I did ok.  Stayed far away from them.

DH is doing well too.  He was in Vegas last week for a few days which derailed him a bit.  But he is on track and has lost about 12-13 pounds (hard to get an exact number from him).  So, I think this is good.  DH wants to diet for ninety days and then reassess.  90 seems like an eternity to me, but changing the way I eat is what I need to do and 90 days is nothing in the big scheme of things.  Hoping to make my goal weight before that though.  I have about 15-20 pounds to go depending on what I feel like at that weight.  I have been there before and the 20 is pretty aggressive.  The 15 pound more goal is a bit more realistic and easy for me to maintain.  But we shall see.  If it would only start to get warm, life would be perfect.
Still no response, nor food from eDiets Deliciously Yours.  I will do all the bank business tomorrow of stopping any future payments to them.  What a mess.

SuRpRiSe! SuRpRiSe!

Big surprise.  No food delivered today from Ediets Deliciously yours.  The customer service rep on the new customer line (can't get through to member services since if they already have your money, they have no use for you) said he would check into and have someone call me back.  I don't think I'll be holding my breath for that one.  So, I have 3 days until my Purefoodsfreshstarts food gets here.  My husband also received no food and he has nothing new coming.  The rep said that I was only the second person not to get food today and I almost laughed and told him that perhaps he should read the web site because I am in good company.  It seems about nobody is getting their food.  I asked if the company had gone out of business and I got a bunch of "Oh no.  We just are having some internet glitches". I reponded with that is all fine and good but it shouldn't interrupt food delivery.  That is, after all the premise of this plan.  You pay.  You get food.  Simple, right?  My only concern is that I am hoping that purefoods (who makes the eDiets food) isn't the problem and that I will indeed receive my order from them.  Otherwise, I might have to just give up on this food delivery thing.  I am beyond frustrated.....I am hungry with nothing in the house but doughnuts.  Not a good thing.
